Adopted Shelties - 2019

See our shelties who have been lovingly adopted into "forever homes" during 2019.

Katy - Katy is a tri-colored sheltie that was rescued from the New Braunfels shelter. She was found as a stray and the finder took her to the shelter, hoping her owners would show up. Katy is up to date on all her vaccinations, spayed, heartworm negative and on heartworm preventive. Katy is about 15 inches tall and weighs 25 pounds. Katyís coat is growing in after a bit of a poor haircut. Katy is housetrained and crate trained. She enjoys riding in a car and has a mellow demeanor.

Adopted October 2019

Daisy 2 - Daisy is an 8 year old tri-colored sheltie. She was an owner surrender due to too many dogs and she needed some attention. Daisy is up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, spayed, and on heartworm preventive. Daisy is 14 inches tall and weighs 28 pounds, should be 24 or 25 pounds. Daisy is on a weight reduction regimen, better nutrition and daily exercise. She takes daily walks and loves doing it. She is very social with dogs and humans, big and little, that she meets along the way. She is house trained and crate trained. Daisy has recently had a dental and lost several teeth but loves eating treats and ice cubes.

Buddy 4 - Buddy came to us from Temple where he was picked up as a stray. Buddy is a 5 year old sheltie mix, about 13 inches tall and weighs 14 pounds. He is neutered and up to date on all of his vaccinations., Buddy is also heartworm negative and on heartworm preventive. His foster mom says his name, Buddy, fits him to a T, he is a happy go lucky fellow that loves everything and everyone. He loves going for rides in the car, loves it when his family comes home, he jumps for joy at getting attention. Buddy had some skin issues and is getting a half a Benadryl along with special food to get the itching under control. Buddy is house trained and leash trained. He likes cats, he wants to play hard with them, so it would be best if there is a resident cat in his new home, it should be a very tolerant cat.

Adopted October 2019

Praline aka Penny - Praline came to us from NE Texas, a group of folks worked together to get her out of a neglectful home. Praline is about 8 years old up to date on all vaccinations, spayed but sadly is heartworm positive and will have to go thru treatment. She will not be ready for adoption until the end of June. Praline is about 14 inches tall and is a bit underweight at 16 pounds.

UPDATE: Praline has gone thru a name change, she is now Penny. She has finished her heartworm treatment and is doing great. She is now housetrained and crate trained. Penny loves to take walks, does very well on a leash and loves, actually she demands, to meet with dogs and people on her morning walks. She loves to play with dog toys and other dogs. She is a snuggler, and will sit perfectly still in your lap for hours. Penny is now up to a good weight of 25 pounds and is so ready for a new home, she loves other dogs and children and laps where she can snuggle.

Oliver -Oliver is a 10 year old owner surrender due to allergies and a major move out of state. Oliver is a handsome 10 year old sheltie that is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm preventive. Oliver had some skin issues when he came into rescue and is being treated with antibiotics and special shampoo. His skin and coat is improving. Oliver is a low key fellow that gets along well with other dogs and with cats. When he came into rescue he was a bit overweight, about 15 pounds, so he is on the low cal, green bean diet. He enjoys taking walks, this will also help him to become trim and slim. His foster mom says he is a sweetheart that enjoys a good snuggle and really doesnít mind all of these special baths.

Adopted September 2019

Molly 4 - Molly came to us from the Brownwood shelter in dire need of medical attention and someone to love on her.
