Lost and Found

From time to time our volunteers are contacted about shelties and other dogs that are lost and/or found in the Central Texas area. If you have either lost or found a sheltie please contact us. We're here to help! We'll also be happy to post descriptions, flyers, and pictures to this page. Please also see our guidelines if you have found a shelties.
Houston Sheltie Sanctuary has some great tips about what to do if you have lost or found a sheltie.

Bruno - Bruno went missing on Friday September 16th at 9 PM. Last seen on Lost Creek Subdivision (Richmond, Texas) Bruno weights 15 lbs. and is 9 years old. He is missing one front tooth. With any information, please contact 281-989-9340

Miss Kitty - Miss Kitty is one of 6 shelties that were surrendered to Austin Sheltie Rescue after their owner passed away. Miss Kitty is 6 or 7 years old and is a spayed tri-colored female. She is the smallest of the 6 shelties at 12 or 13 inches tall and only about 11 pounds. Miss Kitty is up to date on all vaccinations, is heartworm negative and is on heartworm preventive. Miss Kitty is good with other dogs but is very frightened of humans. She is working on socialization and is rapidly learning that humans are really nice and have a lot to offer. She is working on her house training and will be working on the leash when she calmss a bit more.

Miss Kitty was adopted in June 2014, she slipped out the front door and ran.  She was lost in the Lakeway area.  We had several sightings in Lakeway close to the Yaupon Golf course and surrounding areas.  We were never able to find her.  She is micro-chipped and we still pray that she is somewhere safe, with good people.  She is a shy girl that would run from people so she would have had to have been caught.

LOST MALE SHELTIE - SKY - Last seen running on the IH-35 frontage road between 38th and Edgewook (near Dell Children's Hospital). Tan coat with black and white accents. Red leather collar, name is Sky. Friendly, but will run if chased. Contact day or night, 661-319-6887. Please report any sightings, they are very helpful in finding missing dogs!
