Kitsune (aka Kit) or little fox in Japanese is an energetic, happy 9 month old puppy that recently came to us from TLAC. Kit is up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative. He is ‘mostly’ house trained and he gets along well with the resident dogs, loves to run and be chased. His foster mom says “This little charmer wants nothing more than to snuggle and be loved. His whole body wiggles when he wags his tail, which is often. He’s a very quick learner and has the potential to be a fine “fetcher”. He’s got speed and will focus in when you get his attention – possibilities for flyball or frisbee here maybe. He uses those long legs well – he was like lightening going after a toy last night. Another way he uses them is to roll over on his back and wrap his paws around your arm. It’s funny how very “fox like” he really is.” Kit also has a calm nature and is willing to just lay and watch what is going on around him. Did I say he loves to be petted? Oh yes, he loves to be petted and snuggled.

May – Adopted September 2006. Her new mom has this to say about May:
I just wanted to tell you how wonderfully May is fitting in in our home. She is a great pet and has warmed to us very quickly…May loves to “super-streak,” but calms down instantly when we decide playtime is over. She sleeps through the nights on a wingback chair near the bed, and knows that is her nighttime bed. If I get up during the night, she’s right there at my side the minute I’m out of bed…As you can tell, we are already enamored with her! She is already family! Thanks for bringing her to us!
Ginger is a sweet 5 year old sable and white female that came to us because her family is moving out of state and cannot take her with them. She stands about 22 inches tall, and is up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, on heartworm preventative and is spayed. She gets along wonderfully with children, other dogs and cats. Ginger does not jump on the furniture, is perfectly housetrained and is a delight to have around.
UPDATE: Ginger found her Forever Home before we even had a chance to get her on our website as available. The prospective adopters came to meet her and she immediately laid claim to them. They hadn’t been in the room with her for just a few minutes when she went over to them and leaned in close. This lucky girl is now home and very much loved.

Chance
Ready to Love
Chance is ready for a loving home. A bit timid by nature he needs a patient, gentle person who can show him how wonderful life can be. If you ever wanted a dog who thinks you’re the best thing in the world, this is the one. He loves to cuddle, to get pets, and to go for walks. He’ll follow you around like a fuzzy shadow, and keep you company. Chance LOVES to take walks! Nothing is better than a good sniff-walk! The only time we hear him bark is when he’s excited because the leashes have come out!
Chance was lost and on his own for six months, so he needs a bit more attention than most shelties but he is very dog-friendly. He would be happy in a home where he’s the only dog (and can hog all the attention!), a quiet household where he can relax, or a home with other young, playful dogs. Chance was born in December 2003, he is up to date on all vax, on heartworm preventative, is about 16 inches tall and weighs around 25 pounds.
Adopted September 2006
