UPDATE: Riley is hypothyroid and overweight. The thyroid issue only requires inexpensive meds once a day along with a healthy diet and exercise…all of this will help him to become trim and slim. Oh, and he is heartworm-negative and scheduled for neuter and dental at the end of August.

Riley came to us from the Flower Mound Animal Center. He had been surrendered to the shelter because his owner was in poor health. Riley is a 9-year-old sheltie that has been neglected. It appears he has thyroid issues, a dry brittle coat, is overweight, and that telltale yeasty smell. He has worn marks on his back from a too-tight harness. Riley is very sweet and mellow.
